First of all I want to thank all 26 designers that entered the contest. The overall quality of the entries was incredibly high. For us the jury (Prazillo Lemon, Greenie Lane and myself) it was a difficult task to pick out 3 winners. It took us all week, glancing over the board with pictures, showing off the models, but in the end we came to a conclusion.
The jury was impressed by the creative solution of this outfit. The designer used a skirt generator, but changed some of the panels. The complete style icon is very attractive, unlike others, the colors are vivid, and the quality is good. Nice detail is that this outfit comes with hair, hat, jewelry and shoes.
The third price, a 2500 L$ Storecard + 1000 L$ cash, goes to Ellen Sideways with her Purple Gothic
With the use of 2 generators this designer made a very attractive outfit. Using some of the textures that came with the generators but added some new textures as well this evening dress became suddenly an eye catcher. This gown is one with style, allure and will most certainly becoming a best seller. The picture used for the contest board displayed the design well and gave it a dreamy/fairytale like effect.
The second price, a 5000 L$ Storecard + 2500 L$ cash, goes to Elina Tigerauge with her Sparkle Gown
For this design also 2 generators were used. Most and for all the jury was impressed by the use of the textures though. Carefully placed lace, the use of different, but matching textures and good shading are making this outfit to one of great quality. The picture used for the contest board made you want to have this gown immediately. The design comes to its own and the whole picture is balanced and clear. Unanimously the jury chose for this design to be the winner of the Trendy Templates Designers Contest 2012. And this winner is…. Khookie Loon with her Pretty in Pink. She will receive the first price: a 10000 L$ Storecard + 5000 L$ cash!!!
I hope to organize another contest next year and of course I hope it will be just as big a success as this one.
